About a month ago we took at comparative look at HostGator and BlueHost, how many sites they are hosting, how their web hosting plans compare, etc. Today we wanted to take another little sneak peak and see how they are doing. What we found in our HostGator review is that they are continuing to see tremendous growth with a .17% increase today. They have added a total of 37,570 active name servers since out last report.
BlueHost also continues to grow but not quite as quickly as HostGator. BlueHost had a .09% gain today and has added 23,008 name servers in the same amount of time. BlueHost has about 4,000 more active name servers overall, but HostGator is catching up VERY quickly. Another top competitor that does not lag far behind is DreamHost. Our DreamHost review shows that they have seen a .04% gain today and are hosting just under 13,000 less active name servers than HostGator.
DreamHost, like BlueHost, has just one basic hosting plan. It is an all inclusive plan with almost all unlimited features. Other options you will find with DreamHost include VPS Hosting, Dedicated Hosting, Server Colocation, Domain Registration and, as with most web hosts, an affiliate program.
Neither HostGator or BlueHost have made any big announcements lately but DreamHost does have a tweet competition going on for 20 Wifi iPads so you may want to check out their blog to find out all the details. Just click here to visit DreamHost and link to their blog from there.
